Postdoctoral Fellow
I obtained a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Stockton University, where I researched tooth collagen integrity under the supervision of Kelly Keenan. I then pursued a Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the Drexel University College of Medicine working with Patrick Loll to study how vancomycin-resistant Enterococci activate their resistant phenotypes. In the Sgourakis Lab, I aim to use my background in protein biochemistry and biophysics to study how MHC chaperone proteins influence peptide repertoire selection, and I plan to use structural techniques to determine the three-dimensional details of MHC complexes with chaperones and potential therapeutic binding proteins.
Outside of the lab, I enjoy playing soccer, cooking, and exploring the excellent restaurants Philadelphia has to offer.
